If you want to check in or check out, please say 1 or 2 when you are at the front desk of the hotel.
When you want a taxi ーHOTEL
タクシーをお願いします。 (Takushii wo onegaisimasu)
タクシーをX時にお願いします。 (Takushii wo X jini onegaisimasu)
If you want a taxi, please say 1. If you want a taxi at the specific time, Please say 2. X will be the time.
1 = ichi 2 = ni
3 = san 4 = yo
5 = go 6 = roku
7 = shichi 8 = hachi
9 = ku 10 = jyuu
11 = jyuuichi 12 = jyuuni
When you want to know the password of the wifi ーHOTEL
ワイファイ（Wifi)のパスワードを教えてください。 (Waifwaino pasuwa-dowo oshietekudasai) Could you tell me the password of the wifi please?
Be careful with "Wifi" and "password" because both are similar to Japanese "waifwai" and "pasuwa-do".
When you want a map ーHOTEL
地図はありますか？ (Chizuwa arimasuka?) Is there a map that I can have?
Note that "Chizu" is similar to the word "Cheese" in English but they are different words. The vowel sound of "Chizu" is shorter than in "Cheese".
When you want to go somewhere by taxi ーTAXI
XXまでお願いします。 (XX made onegaishimasu) Please take me to XX.
This is the most common way to say you want to go to somewhere in taxi. "made" is pronounced "ma-de" not "made"!
When you have something to show the address ーTAXI
ここまでお願いします。 (kokomade onegaishimasu) Please take me to here please.
If you have some kind of card or a device that shows the address of the destination, you could use this.
When you want to get off ーTAXI
ここで下ろしてください。(kokode oroshite kudasai) Please let me off here.
この辺で下ろしてください。 (konohende oroshite kudasai) Please let me off around here.
Those mean almost the same but 2 is more flexible about the stopping place. A lot of people say 2 meaning they want to get off here so I recommend saying 2 unless you are in hurry.
Paying in taxi ーTAXI
カードで払えますか？ (Ka-dode haraemasuka?) Would you take cards?
領収書をください。 (ryousyusyowo kudasai) May I have a receipt please?
If you want to ask if they take cards or not, you should ask 1.
If you want a receipt from the driver, please say 2.
In modern hotels there are staffs who can speak English and many other language. I recommend you to ask is there any staffs that can speak English or other language,
However, in Ryokan (old style hotel) there would be less chance to find a staff that can speak English.
Most taxies that can be found in big cities usually have a guide in English in the car. However, the driver doesn't often speak any other language but Japanese so it's better if you try it in Japanese.
